Fletcher Velocipede c.1870
George Fletcher of Derby built this 'boneshaker' velocipede in late 1869/early 1870. It is a freehand copy of the French Michaux design made under licence by the Coventry Machinists Company from February 1869.

Ladies Bicycle c.1898
Made by the Haskard Cycle Company of 10 Curzon Street, Derby. There is a dress-guard of cord surrounding the rear wheel, intended to preserve the decorum of the Victorian ladies.

The Ultimate Scott
Silk Engineering manufactured motorcycles in Derby between 1970 and 1979. The first ones were little more than updated versions of the famous Scott machine of the 1930s, but later Silk developed their own design. This 1979 700S model is one of these and features a Silk 653cc twin-cylinder two-stoke engine, closely following the Scott layout.
